1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MediOne ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and [YOUR NAME / COMPANY NAME] ("Developer," "we," "our," or "us").

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. You must be at least 17 years of age to use the App.


2. What MediOne Is — and Is Not

2.1 Description

MediOne is a **personal health records organizer** that allows you to store, organize, and manage photos, PDFs, and other medical documents on your device, with an optional encrypted cloud sync feature.

2.2 NOT Medical Advice

**MediOne is not a medical device, a medical service, or a provider of medical, clinical, psychological, or health advice of any kind.**

The App is a document storage and organization tool. Nothing in the App, its content, or these Terms constitutes:

  • Medical, clinical, or therapeutic advice.
  • A diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or prescription.
  • A substitute for professional medical consultation.
  • **Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for any medical decisions.** Do not delay or disregard seeking professional medical advice because of anything you have stored or organized in MediOne.

    2.3 NOT a Healthcare Provider

    We are not a HIPAA Covered Entity and do not provide health services. MediOne is a consumer software tool for personal information management.


    3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least **17 years old** to use MediOne.
  • By using the App, you represent that you meet the age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
  • If you are using the App on behalf of a minor whose records you manage (e.g. a child), you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.
  • The App is available in countries where it is listed on the App Store. We make no representation that the App is appropriate or available in all locations.

  • 4. License

    Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use MediOne on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

    You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Use the App for commercial purposes or on behalf of a third party for compensation.
  • Sublicense, sell, or transfer your license rights.
  • Circumvent any security or access controls built into the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose.

  • 5. Your Content and Data

    5.1 Ownership

    You retain all ownership rights to the medical records, documents, notes, and other content you store in MediOne ("Your Content"). We claim no ownership over Your Content.

    5.2 Your Responsibility

    You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content.
  • Maintaining backups of Your Content (see §5.4).
  • Ensuring you have the right to store any documents you add (e.g. documents belonging to family members you manage).
  • Your account credentials. Keep your email and password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • 5.3 License to Operate

    By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and process Your Content solely to provide the sync service to you. We do not use Your Content for any other purpose.

    5.4 Data Backup Warning

    **We strongly recommend regularly exporting backups** using Settings → Data → Export Backup. Despite our best efforts, data loss can occur due to device failure, software bugs, accidental deletion, or service disruption. The Developer is not liable for any loss of Your Content, including health records of any kind.


    6. Accounts and Cloud Sync

    6.1 Account Creation (Optional)

    Creating an account is optional. The App is fully functional without one (local mode). An account is required only to use the cloud sync feature (Plus subscribers only).

    6.2 Account Security

    You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

    6.3 Sync Availability

    Cloud sync is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted sync service. Sync may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical failures, or service disruptions. **You should never rely solely on cloud sync as your only backup.**

    6.4 Account Termination

    You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Data → Delete All Data or by contacting us at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Upon account deletion, all cloud data associated with your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

    We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse of our services, or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice.


    7. Plus Subscription

    7.1 Free Tier

    MediOne is free to download and use with the following limitations:

  • Up to **1 person profile**.
  • Up to **3 attachments per episode**.
  • No cloud sync.
  • 7.2 Plus Plan

    A Plus subscription unlocks:

  • Up to **5 person profiles**.
  • Up to **10 attachments per episode**.
  • Cloud sync via your Supabase-backed account.
  • The Plus plan may include additional features added over time.
  • 7.3 Pricing

    Current pricing is displayed on the paywall screen within the App and on the App Store product page. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change with notice.

    7.4 Billing and Payment

  • All purchases are processed by **Apple** through the App Store. By purchasing a Plus subscription, you also agree to Apple's Terms of Sale and App Store Terms of Service.
  • We do not directly receive or store your payment card details.
  • **Subscription management and cancellation are handled via your Apple ID account settings** (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on iPhone).
  • 7.5 Auto-Renewal

    Plus is an **auto-renewing subscription**. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Renewal charges are applied to your Apple ID account.

    7.6 Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription management settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. **You will not receive a refund for unused time in the current period.** After cancellation, you retain Plus access until the end of the period you paid for, then the App reverts to free-tier limits.

    7.7 Refunds

    All refund requests are handled by Apple per Apple's refund policies. We are unable to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com).

    7.8 Grace Period

    If your payment method fails, Apple initiates a billing retry period (up to approximately 16 days). During this grace period, you retain full Plus access. We display an in-app banner asking you to update your payment method. If payment is not resolved, your subscription lapses and free-tier limits apply.

    7.9 Expiration — Data Preservation

    When Plus expires, **your existing data is never deleted**:

  • All existing person profiles and episodes remain fully accessible.
  • Existing attachments above the free limit remain viewable.
  • Creating new person profiles or adding new attachments beyond free-tier limits is restricted until Plus is re-activated.
  • Sync pauses; cloud data is preserved in Supabase and resumes immediately when Plus is re-activated.
  • 7.10 Restore Purchases

    If you previously purchased Plus, you can restore it (e.g. after reinstalling) using the "Restore Purchases" button on the paywall screen. This links your subscription via RevenueCat.

    7.11 Price Changes

    We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes take effect at the next renewal period, and Apple will notify you before the price change takes effect.


    8. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use the App to:

  • Store, transmit, or process content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or services.
  • Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks.
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Store documents for persons other than yourself or those whose legal guardian you are, without appropriate authorization.

  • 9. Intellectual Property

    The App, including its code, design, graphics, user interface, and content (other than Your Content), is the property of the Developer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in the App other than the limited license described in §4.


    10. Privacy

    Your use of the App is also governed by our [Privacy Policy](PRIVACY_POLICY.md), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.


    11. Third-Party Services

    The App integrates with third-party services (Supabase, RevenueCat, Firebase, Sentry, PostHog, Apple). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of those third parties.


    12. Disclaimer of Warranties

    **TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE.**

    We specifically disclaim:

  • Any warranty that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
  • Any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • Any warranty that data (including health records) will not be lost, corrupted, or disclosed.
  • Any warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information within the App.
  • **We are not responsible for medical decisions made based on information stored in MediOne. The App is a personal document organizer only.**


    13. Limitation of Liability

    **TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:**

    1. In no event will the Developer, its officers, employees, agents, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, health records, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

    2. Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the App will not exceed the greater of:

    - The amount you paid for a Plus subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim; or

    - USD $10.00.

    3. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.


    14. Indemnification

    You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from any claim, demand, liability, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the App.
  • Your Content.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your violation of any third-party rights.

  • 15. Availability and Service Changes

    We may:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the App itself, at any time, with or without notice.
  • Update the App, which may change or remove functionality.
  • Change pricing for the Plus plan (with notice as required by Apple).
  • We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes. If we discontinue the App, we will provide at least 30 days' notice where practicable, allowing you time to export your data.


    16. iOS Share Extension

    The Share Extension is an extension of the App licensed under the same terms. Use of the Share Extension to import content is subject to these Terms. You are responsible for any content imported from third-party apps.


    17. Export and Import Restrictions

    The App uses standard encryption technology (AES-256). You are responsible for complying with any export control laws in your jurisdiction regarding the use of encryption software.


    18. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where possible, via an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, stop using the App.


    19. Termination

    These Terms are effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete it from your devices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) shall survive.


    20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of **[YOUR JURISDICTION / STATE / COUNTRY]**, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

    Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of **[YOUR JURISDICTION]**.

    21. Severability

    If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.


    22. Entire Agreement

    These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Developer regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
